Iraan General Hospital offers individual Counseling/Education in an outpatient setting. To promote privacy and confidentiality, our counseling room is now located in a more private area of the hospital. The Counseling department can be accessed through our hospital's front entrance or from the counseling entrance located at the back of the hospital.
Individual CounselingOur Counseling department provides Cognitive Behavior Therapy, (CBT) provided by Laura E. Hansen, Licensed Professional Counselor, (LPC). Issues such as Anxiety, Stress and Depression can be addressed in individual sessions. Therapy for Bipolar and Adult Autism disorders are also available.
If you have a high needs child, help is available. Parents attend sessions targeted to improve their unique concerns. Additional education and learning new skills can help meet individual goals. Most parents achieve measurable results when they help create a plan together, with the counselor and primary care provider, and practice consistency with their plan. Happier children and parents make a great home.
If you might benefit from our services, please contact us. If you know someone who could use our counseling services, please pass on this information. Just ask your doctor about counseling and he or she can send us an order for an evaluation. An intake evaluation is completed by our LPC and a treatment plan is developed with your physician. If you have any additional questions or need assistance with the referral process, our Registered nurse or LPC can assist in coordinating treatment with your physician of choice. For additional information please call Shari Spittler, RN 432-639-2575 ext. 420 or Laura Hansen, LPC at ext. 522.
